Your server, on your phone

The teamside app ships with no server address baked in. Install it, enter your own server address, and it talks to that server only. The whole point of an on-premises deployment — your data stays yours — holds on mobile too.

iOS

On iPhone it works like an app

Apple does not allow apps to be installed from plain files. Instead, open your company server address in Safari and “Add to Home Screen” — you get an icon, and it opens full screen with no address bar.

How to install (Android)

Because this install does not come from the Play Store, Android will ask you once. Nothing is wrong — just follow the steps below.

  1. Download the APK. If your browser warns that “this type of file can harm your device”, tap Continue. That notice appears for every file that does not come from the store.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Tap it in the notification, or find it under Files → Download.
  3. Allow installs from this source. Android sends you to a settings screen — allow just the browser (or file app) you are using, then go back. This permission applies to that one app, not to the whole device.
  4. Tap Install. When it finishes, Teamside appears on your home screen.
  5. Open the app and enter your server address. Use the address your organisation gave you; the app connects only to that server. If you do not know it, ask your IT contact — or ask us.

⚠ If teamside is already installed, this file updates it in place. But if you installed a build from somewhere else, the signatures differ and Android will refuse — uninstall the old one first, then install this.

How to add it (iPhone & iPad)

Three taps in Safari and you are done. Nothing to download, no store account.

  1. Open your company server address in Safari. This is the address your company gave you (for example work.company.co.kr).
    ★ It must be Safari, not Chrome — only Safari can add to the Home Screen on iPhone.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom centre. The square with an arrow pointing up.
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen” and tap Add. You can rename it if you like.
  4. Open it from the new icon on your Home Screen. It opens full screen, like an app, with no address bar.

Your server address and sign-in are kept. Note that, unlike the Android app, a web app on iPhone may have limited push notifications — if you need notifications, ask us about a dedicated app.

Questions we get

Why is it not on the Play Store?
teamside runs on your own server. A store app has to be usable by anyone who downloads it, but this one only works if you know your server address. So we open the direct-file route first, for the organisations that have deployed it. A store release is in preparation.
How do I know this file is genuine?
Compare the SHA-256 fingerprint above with the one you compute on the downloaded file — if they match, nothing changed in transit. The app itself also carries Gongreen’s signature, so a differently signed file cannot replace it.
We have no server yet — can we still try it?
Yes. We will give you a demo server address — just get in touch.
How do I update the app?
Download the new file from this page and install it over the old one. Your data is kept.
